Dear AAJA photographers,

Can you join other photographers and AAJAers at the San Francisco chapter’s annual family picnic at Coyote Point in San Mateo on Saturday, August. 27.

Where: Picnic Area #20 at the Magic Mountain Playground Area in Coyote Park
Address: 1701 Coyote Point Drive, San Mateo
Cost: free
RSVP: Treasurer Quynh Tran at qghtran@gmail.com by Wednesday, Aug. 24 so they know how much food/drinks to buy.

Bring your family, children and friends. We’ll supply the burgers and condiments. Please bring a side dish, dessert or munchies to share.

ABOUT THE PARK: Coyote Point is a regional recreation area that offers picnicking, swimming, bicycling, jogging, boating, a science and nature museum, and the giant castle-and-dragon-themed Magic Mountain Playground with a 42-foot tall castle atop a 5-foot hill. Magic Mountain features two play areas: one for 2 to 5 year olds and another for 5 to 12 year olds. The 42-foot tall castle in the playground that boasts the longest enclosed slide in California.

DIRECTIONS: If you’re coming from the north, take Highway 101 South. Take the Poplar Avenue exit. Turn right onto Humbolt until Peninsula Avenue. Turn right onto Peninsula Avenue. Go over the freeway, and then circle around and into the park. If you’re coming from the south, take Highway 101 North and take the Peninsula Avenue exit. Turn right onto Airport Boulevard. Turn left onto Coyote Point Drive to the park.
